King Edward VII’s Hospital records substantial time savings with Compucare Financials
The Finance Department at King Edward VII’s Hospital in London has reported substantial time savings in the management of its accounting activities since the implementation of Streets Heaver’s Compucare Financials accounting system.
The hospital, which has a prestigious reputation within the healthcare market, chose to implement the solution as it had been successfully using Streets Heaver’s Compucare patient administration system for over 18 years. Streets Heaver provides administrative, clinical and therapy management systems to the NHS, independent hospitals and NHS private patient units. King Edward VII’s Hospital is a leading private hospital in London’s West End, which was established in 1899.
“From both an audit and a user perspective, moving to Compucare Financials was the next logical step.”
Director of Finance, Cathy Simonson
Director of Finance, Cathy Simonson, was keen to ensure the hospital’s financial systems were in place to support both process and reporting requirements of the hospital as well as being efficient, compliant and user friendly. Cathy says: “From both an audit and a user perspective, moving to Compucare Financials was the next logical step, assisting in the integration of our systems and enabling the streamlining of processes.”
Cathy explains: “The solution was deployed with minimal disruption and has already eased the month end process, improving efficiency and allowing the turnaround of accounts in a vastly improved time. Compucare Financials is an intuitive system and the team have found it easy to navigate. The Accounts Payable module is easy to use and works well in conjunction with our purchasing and stock system. The introduction of Compucare Financials has meant that I have more clarity and confidence in the numbers, which has allowed us to focus on the processes, working closely with Streets Heaver to refine the system further to meet our requirements. The system has enabled much improved ways of working and the support from Streets Heaver has and continues to allow us to improve our processes.”
