Year in Review 2024: Innovation, Growth and Business as a Force For Good
Another action-packed year has drawn to a close for Streets Heaver.
As we step into 2025, we celebrate our 39th year in business with a host of remarkable achievements. From industry awards to groundbreaking product developments, community engagement, and sustainability advancements, this year has been one of growth, impact, and innovation.
Award Nominations and Wins
2024 marked a year of national recognition for Streets Heaver. We began with Compucare being named ‘Digital Pioneer’ at the Doctify Patient Voice Awards in January and our success continued across the whole 12 months!
Our commitment to fostering a strong workplace culture was recognised in October when we won ‘Employer of the Year’ at the Midlands Family Business Awards. Shortly after, our Managing Director, Benedict Heaver, was named ‘One to Watch’ in the LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders and was also shortlisted in two categories at the East Midlands Leadership Awards—Tech Leader of the Year and Mid-Company Leader of the Year – with winners announced in March 2025.
Other shortlist recognitions included ‘Green Business of the Year’ at the Lincolnshire Business Awards in March, HealthInvestor’s ‘Health Tech Provider of the Year’, and a product-specific nomination at the PEN Awards for Benenden Hospital and their use of the Compucare Patient Portal. As well as, notably, named finalist in the LaingBuisson Awards ‘Technology Support Provider of the Year’ in November.
Compucare LIVE 2024
Compucare LIVE returned in 2024 with record-breaking attendance – Over 80 people filled the room, including guest speakers from Doctify and Yarowa. Clients from over 36 different health organisations across the UK joined us for the event in London to explore Compucare’s latest developments, future roadmaps, first looks and new integrations.
Attendees rated the event an impressive 9.15/10. With such positive feedback, we can’t wait to see what Compucare LIVE 2025 will bring!
Client Success
A standout moment of the year was our collaboration with OCL Vision, resulting in an insightful case study video showcasing how Compucare optimises processes. The video demonstrates a real-world example of the benefits of using Compucare. Read more here.
Our implementation team had a busy year, completing 54 projects in total. These included upgrades, interfaces, new products, training and more, with seven existing clients migrating to Compucare 8.
We also welcomed many new clients throughout the year. In June, we were thrilled to announce our involvement in a major deal between AGFA Healthcare and Alliance Medical, supporting their diagnostic imaging services across Europe. This partnership further cements our reputation for driving efficiency in healthcare technology.

B Corp Impact
Our first-ever B Impact Report was released at the end of the year, reflecting our ongoing efforts to drive positive change as our first year with B Corp Status. Our goal was to improve our score to 100 within three years—just a year in, we’ve reached 98.6, an improvement of 13.9 points across governance, environment, workers, community, and customers. We remain committed to using business as a force for good and aim to continue improving.

Community Involvement
In 2024 we fundraiser for our chosen Charity of the Year, Lincoln City Foundation – a local charity that organises programmes to support the health and wellbeing of children and adults across Lincolnshire. We proudly smashed our target of £2K within the first 6 months thanks to all our fundraising activities such as the marathon walking challenge, various bake sales, quizzes, fancy dress and much more. In total, we raised £2780 – a whopping 138% of our target. This year, we have chosen another wonderful local charity to fundraise for, St Barnabas Hospice, which supports those affected by life-limiting and terminal conditions across Lincolnshire.
Having seen the huge impact made by the Lincoln City Foundation, we also decided to pledge £10,000 to support their Fighting Fit cancer rehabilitation programme in 2025 and will continue to support them as ‘Friends of the Foundation’, as well as through volunteering days.
With each employee entitled to a day of volunteer work each year, it was great to see staff actively engaged in many volunteering initiatives. This included helping out at Hope CIC, a horse therapy charity for adults and children, and 21% of staff participating in our annual litter pick in September.
Product Developments
This year saw significant advancements in Compucare. The Patient Portal welcomed exciting new functionality including digital forms and online booking capabilities. Compucare Ward and Compucare Clinician was officially previewed at Compucare LIVE in December and will be available in 2025, with direct input from our newly appointed Clinical Safety Officer.
The transition to Compucare on Azure gained momentum. With now over 2,000 active users, 84% of our Data Centre clients successfully migrated, and our first external client is also fully cloud-based. This shift enhances security, scalability, and seamless updates for our users.
Industry Events
Another busy year saw us attend the LaingBuisson Private Healthcare Summit in May, Benedict Heaver spoke on a panel at the Private Health & Cover Conference where Streets Heaver were the executive sponsor in October, and we participated in the return of the in-person SBK NHS PPU Private Patient Business Conference too.
Our presence at key industry events helped strengthen relationships and share insights.
Company Growth
We’ve continued to grow and evolve as a company throughout 2024, with our team now closely approaching 100 employees. More long-service milestones of over 10 years have been celebrated, alongside numerous internal promotions and role transitions, reflecting our commitment to career development. Employee engagement remains a priority, with 65% of staff actively participating in workplace initiatives.
Our focus on employee wellbeing has strengthened, with nine team members now trained as Mental Health First Aiders. Additionally, we’ve brought our leadership training and annual employee forums in-house to provide more tailored development opportunities.
To enhance collaboration, we also completed an office renovation, introducing modern meeting spaces equipped with the latest interactive Microsoft technology and a unique underwater-themed design, reinforcing our vibrant workplace culture.
Looking Ahead to 2025
With Streets Heaver’s 40th anniversary on the horizon, 2025 is set to be another landmark year. Our focus remains on product innovation, client success, sustainability, and maintaining our reputation as a trusted healthcare technology partner.
Here’s to another year of progress, collaboration, and impact!
